The I Surrender Records family are packing up our bags and getting ready to road trip! We have our tickets ready and we will be driving out to Philadelphia for Valencia's farewell show at the Electric Factory. Will we see you there?

Valencia have decided to go on a hiatus

After 7 years of touring and making music together, Valencia have decided to go on a hiatus. They have been our dear friends and part of the I Surrender family since the very beginning, when we stumbled upon their demo on a random night at 3 AM. We grew up together and learned a lot from each other and for that we are thankful. Shane, George, Brendan, Dan, JD, and Max will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Please come join Valencia in celebrating the good times they've shared in the past seven years. They will be playing a farewell show in Philadelphia at The Electric Factory on December 28th with a whole slew of special guests. Pre-sale is available now and tickets go on sale to the public on October 21st. We'll see you there!

A Celebration of the Life of Max Soria

As some of you may have heard, our very good friend Max Soria passed away this past Friday, September 30th. Max played drums in Valencia for seven years and he was a dear friend and brother to the I Surrender family. It's always hard when someone close to you passes but in Max's case this hits extra close to home. The reality is that without Max and Valencia, I Surrender may have called it a day in 2005. Valencia was the first full length release our label ever put out, first album that ever sold 10,000 records, then 20,000 records, first band we got to see in Japan, the band that helped us get our distribution deal. Without this release it wouldn't have given us the ability to keep putting out more records and doing what we love and allowing us to be in a position to do what we love in life. It's hard to articulate in words not only what Max's meaning in life meant allowing us to be a label but it was Max's warmth, spirit, and, his humor that you absolutely could not resist but to smile while being around him. Max, it's sad to see you gone, you really mean the world to us and it's not going to be the same without you. You really were one in a million.

If Max has made a difference to you in your life please join us, Valencia, Max's family and friends at a public service in honor of him and the compassion and kindness he brought into this world.

Valencia Video Premiere

We've teased and tip-toed, but the big day is finally here. It's August 1st (duh)! But that means we're proud to announce the debut of Valencia's new video for "Still Need You Around (Lost Without You)". You may look at the members of Valencia and consider them some mild-mannered fellas. But they've brought us their first episode of Band Vs. Food, and we're not so sure we can stomach it (GET IT?) Watch George take on Chompie's in Arizona, see if he can eat their monster sliders without turning green. Adam Richman couldn't handle it, can George? Make sure to tune in and find out!
