Well wonder no more my friends, because all your questions will be answered in our new 4-part video mini-series, "Out To Lunch With I Surrender!

We wanted to give you guys a look at the people behind your favorite records and the chance to hang out with us for a day, or at least a few hours while we stuff our faces with tacos. This is only the first part, and believe me, there's plenty more where this came from, so we'll be putting up a new part each week for the next three weeks. There'll be fun, there'll be laughter, there'll be tacos and burritos and crunchwraps, and maybe even some very special guests from some very special bands, so check back each week and come "Out To Lunch With I Surrender!!"

Beard Contest!

16 May 2008 - - On their recent tour with the Starting Line (RIP-we'll miss you!) Dan from Four Year Strong won the tour superlative for Best Beard! You can check out the videoto see Dan's acceptance speech, as well as his ultimate challenge to all you tough guys out there: grow a better beard than the award winner.

Think you have what it takes?? Just send a "Before" picture to contest@fouryearstrongmusic.com by this Friday, May 16 and then start growing! You'll have until our nation's Independence Day to work on your facial hair masterpiece, and then just send us your "After" picture by 5 PM EST on July 4.

One 1st place winner will receive a beard comb signed by Dan, a copy of Rise Or Die Trying on vinyl signed by the entire band, 2 free tickets to any Four Year Strong show this fall, and your winning beard will be on display in Four Year Strong's top friends on their Myspace page. As if that wasn't enough incentive to grow one, it's a well known fact that chicks dig a dude with a beard (Ladies, am I right or am I right?).

Not only that, but one runner-up will also receive a signed copy of Rise Or Die Trying on CD, as well as a spot in the band's top friends.

Oh, the brutality!

Remember when I told you that we got our asses kicked at the pillow fight? I totally lied. Team I Surrender (including Brooks, Gaby, and yours truly, Mara) went in swinging (quite literally), and we came out victorious. Watch our crazy romp through Union Square We met a dude with a fish, Cock-Eyed McFeely, and a bunch of kids who put up their pillows for the chance to meet The High Court (not to mention show a little love for their favorite record label). Silly kids, everyone knows the only way to meet the band is to enter our contest on Buzznet and Friends Or Enemies

Our New Signing (seriously, this time)

29 Jan 2007 - - Shame on I Surrender Records. We teased, we tormented. We talked about this new signing just about everywhere. Rob went on The Gunz Show on Idobi radio and talked about it some more. Some rumors flew around and a lot of people guessed. Even though it's a little after 3 am, that still means it's technically Monday. So without further delay, we're proud to welcome the newest member of the I Surrender family.

"We tried to create our sound by making sure we all got what we wanted out of the band. Lou wanted heavy riff rock. I wanted to get blazed. Mike wanted to make noise. Shell wanted to get the hell away from college, and Denny wanted to start a side project with Tom Waits. Denny is still waiting. We want to play for huge fuckin' audiences all over the world. We want a tour with Van Halen and Diamond Dave has to be their singer. Other than that, just ask us anything else you wanna know and we will tell you."

The line up features artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, and Franz Ferdinand. On the 30th, they head over to Tokyo and play the Kick Fan Dead showcase at Egg-Man. Soon after they fly home and gear up for this summers Warped Tour!
